Suve jätk. Let the Summer go on.

Sel aal , kui meie tütrega rannaliival pilti tegime, alustasid mehed metsa all hommikusöögiga. Peab ütlema, et see hommikusöök peale varajast pildisessiooni maitses värskes õhus ikka väga hästi:)

Another simple and beautiful leaf-wrap.
There is a lovely lady who asked me to knit 3 similar wraps so she could give them to her sisters. Is'nt it a nice idea!
White and gray are done, brown is more to go.

Found this glorious yarn for this piece - its Katia Miski (100% baby llama wool) and knitted it 9 skeins. Needles 5mm.
Size turned out 60x190cm.

For a photo shoot we drove on the seaside this morning at 6:) All family packed in, warm breakfast in the basket.
Sun was already shining high (too high for getting good lighting, but huh:)), but we were in excellent mood, excited that we got up so early on Sunday morning. Water was nicely warm, sand under my feet so soft - so we had good fun. I hope it seems on photos:)
At the same time we were shooting on beach, boys were starting with breakfast nearby under the pines. This breakfast, after shooting tasted extra good.

Mu kallis fotograaf Loore otsustas tagatipuks end veidi merevees leotada. Riided unustas selga:)

And my dear photographer Loore is taking a kind of dressed up swim afterwards:)

Seemed from "action" photos, that pattern does'nt come out much and so did I another shot of the pattern to show.

Could'nt anyhow resist, but shoot also those irresistibly gorgeous paeonias! Sharing those as well:)

Nüüd on küll kõvasti siin jagatud tänaseks!
Tänud!

Now got awfully lot of sharing!
Thank you!

Pruudi emale. For a Mother of the Bride.

Lõng Rowan Kidsilk Haze, toon pearl, peaaegu 4 tokki kulutasin.
Varras 3,5, serva tarvis 4mm.

I have knitted for Brides time to time. Even for a Groom once. Now came a Mother of the Bride's turn:) She picked up my Waterlily shawl , so I did - knitted another similar shawl.

This time only out of fine mohair-silk blend - Rowan Kidsilk Haze. Shade is pearl. Almost 4 skeins.
Needles 3,5 for a body part and 4mm for edging.

Pilti tegi minust Taavi.

Photos with shawl are taken by Taavi. As it seems on photos - I could also be a Mother of a Bride already;)

Thank you!

Suve algus. Let the Summer begin.

Varras 6mm.
Suurus sai aus - 65x200cm - just selline, millesse on end hea sisse kerida ning suveõhtul jalutama minna või verandal raamatut lugeda või sõbrannadega kohvitada:)

This item is knitted by custom order.
Lovely lady, who is about give it as a gift, told me that she would like to have it with leaves pattern. So, everything I had to do, was add "my endings".

I chose for this knit Lion Brand Fisherman Wool, which is just most wonderful pure and fair woolen yarn. Then I bought it, lovely shop owner said - this yarn knits itself - so it did - I just had to hold needles. 6mm needles I held:) Knitted about 300grams of yarn.
Size turned out proper - 65x200cm - just enough to wrap yourself in for a nice walk or a tea party in the garden.

Pilti tegi mul Taavi. Tütar veedab koolivaheaega vanaema juures:)

Tänud läbi astumast!

Photos are made by my hubby this time, as my daughter is spending her summer break in grannies:)

Thank you for stopping by!

Pruudi Uhkus. The Pride of the Bride.

Serv on kootud topelt.

Once again - one lucky Bride is about getting married and I had a chance to make something special for her important day.
This time its more "mine" - not traditional lace shawl, but glorious foliated wrap. Inspiration came from yarns.
As it seems from photos, I tried to knit it this way, that also backside of the item would be wearable. So, the Bride doesnt have to worry, if she wears it right.
It happens, that beautiful shawl is worn backside up:)
So did I also edging double.

Comes in details right here. Who knows, maybe we will see it on the Brides shoulders also one day.

Yarns: Katia Tupa (50% merino, 50% silk!) and Titan Wool BBB Soft Dream. First one used bit more than 3 sekins and second one 5 skeins.
Needles 4mm.

PS! Piltidel paistvate ehete autoriks on Kriss Põldma ning prossi autoriks Anu Konze.

Lisan 07.06

Note 07.06
The Bride got her shawl today and I am glad to say, that she was very happy and excited about it!
She promised that she will share also their wedding photos:)
